Graphite grinding involves breaking down raw graphite into smaller particles through a mechanized fine grind system. Graphite is a mineral mined using underground and ditch mining methods. Lump graphite comes from underground sources while amorphous graphite and flake is mined at the start pit. Whichever the method used, the end product is a combination of large chards and stone-like pebbles that need to be broken down before use. After the graphite is ground, it is packaged in customized, specializedcontainers, totes, tanker trucks or in small containers. As milling speed increases, the heat should be regulated to cater for heat sensitive materials.
