#1. EVs cost more initially than gasoline cars.
Due to the amazing properties and capabilities of an electric car, it costs more than its gasoline car equivalent. The extra costs can range from thousands more up to twice the cost of a similarly-sized gasoline car.

Though electric cars are more expensive than gas cars upfront, you can save so much in driving an EV. If you don’t know yet, they are very quiet to operate because there is no engine or transmission sound created when they run on battery power.
