- Before doing the regular maintenance on the equipment, it should be turned off and the main power is disconnected from the machine.
- It is the user’s responsibility when handling dangerous and toxic substances using the Quincy air compressor.
- Do not touch any part or fix the machine while it is still running.
- Pressure stored inside the equipment must be relieved before doing any repair or inspection.
- If one of the shields, enclosure panels, safety guards, doors or screens is removed then the device should not be used.
- The Quincy air compressor contains labels such as Warning!, Danger!, Caution! and other instructions and is should not be removed or covered with paint. Doing so might cause damage to operators and the surrounding property.
- Let the air compressor cool before doing any service or repair. The temperature of the unit’s surface could reach over 350 degrees F when running.
- Any parts of the equipment may not be attached with rubber hose, plastic pipe or soldered joints made of lead-tin.
- To ensure proper operation, pressure of the relief valves must be checked constantly.
- If you wish to integrate a shutoff valve in the discharge line of the compressor, first you have to put a relief valve for pressure, proper design and size must be noted, between the compressor and the shutoff valve.
- The pressure relief valve’s setting must not be changed, its function must not be limited in any way and it must not be replaced with a plug.
- Do not alter the system of the Quincy product without the approval of the manufacturer.
- The unit must always be inspected in general and maintenance should be performed. If any incorrect settings are found, correct it. Be sure to tighten all the fasteners.
- Before running the compressor for the first time, clear all the tools, installation debris and shipping debris inside the compressor and around the site where it will was installed.
- The compressed air must not be employed in any reckless and unsafe applications because it might cause serious damage and injury to those around.
- The operators of the air compressor and the maintenance worker should have a copy of the instruction manual at their disposal. Replace the manual once it is lost or some parts are already unreadable. Personnel in charge must always read the manual to refresh the memory and make sure everything is remembered to avoid any accidents and fatal injuries.
- When cleaning the filter or other parts, don’t use solvents which are toxic or flammable.
