How does it work?
The Noflex Digester helps in making sure that the inside of the pipelines are thoroughly clean. As soon as it is flushed inside, all wastes that are coating the inside layer will be removed therefore stops nuisance odor from leaking through the pipe and hose connections. As soon as it is injected in the holding tank, the digester eradicates any foul odor fast and not just covers it.
The chemical compound used in the digester is heavy compared to water. That is why as soon as it enters the system, the chemical compound sinks and settles at the bottom. The bottom is where all anaerobic bacteria like sludge formed by dead bacteria are mostly found. As soon as the chemical touché the sludge, it creates a reaction which lifts the residue up to the mainstream and joins the flow. Oxygen microbubbles are simultaneously released and make it possible for facilities to decompose the waste product. During the process of decomposition, proteins are released by the sludge and this aids the live bacteria to have a nutritional source. The boost in the oxygen content as well as the protein supply helps the bacteria to work efficiently. All the contaminants in the water such as waste material and sludge are completely decomposed making the water clean and safe to be emitted into outer receiving water channels.
Application in Industries
Commercially, the Noflex Digester has been used for a long time to prevent and control any foul odor and to help reduce the build-up of sludge. It is also commonly used on marine and coast guard vessels to aid in waste treatment and injected into holding tanks. It was initially designed to be used on waste water treatment but was released on retail stores for domestic and marine use.
Over time, sludge and anaerobic bacteria could also accumulate on holding tanks and may settle and emit undesired odor. This unpleasant odor could travel through spaces where passengers are residing and dock areas inside the marine vessels. The digester is needed to liquefy all the sludge accumulated and control the odor. Then the holding tank’s water content may be removed and replaced for a more efficient cleaning method.
