Switch off Oven Once Baking is over
One of the most important precautions that have to be taken when using the baking racks is to switch the oven off after the baking process is complete. Exposure to too much heat can cause the racks to gradually melt and lose their essence, leaving you to go and buy new ones from the market. You also need to take a considerable degree of care when washing baking ranks under a sink. These tend to be rather fragile so you need to make sure that you watch these as slowly and as gently as possible.
Buy only First Hand Baking Racks
It is crucial to engage in the use of only baking racks that have been bought on a first hand basis and which have not been used earlier. The used racks are known to be of an inferior quality and you will hardly have used these for three months when you find that you have to throw them away.
Keep Racks Inside of Oven Always
The baking racks should be kept inside of the oven even when they are not being used. Installing racks can take quite a bit of time and a lot of damage can be done to these racks when uninstalling them and then reinstalling them once again.
Do not overuse the Racks
It is important not too overuse the racks for baking as by doing so you will end up reducing their shelf life to a considerable degree. Hence baking activities itself should not be done continuously and should instead be performed for just three to four times in a week.
Keep Oven Temperature at a Moderate Level
Keep the temperature within the oven at a moderate level in order for the baking racks to perform in the best possible way. Oven temperature which is too high or too low can result in the quality of the racks being hampered in some way or the other.
Clean with Dry Solvents Only
It would be a good idea to wash or clean the racks for baking with dry cleaning agents rather than with soap and water. The dry cleaning solvents can do a better job of removing dust and dirt particles from the surface of the racks than soap and water can.
Keeping the above mentioned points in mind will definitely help you to do a good job of maintaining racks for baking in the manner desired.
