Most event planners opt to use the simple flexible food transport carts during events. The carts have a simple compartmented structure that is made up of trays. Most of them have two or three levels of trays that are used to hold different types of food. The trays can be detached from the assembly for cleaning or during transportation of the equipment from place to place. Their flexibility allows them to be disassembled completely and assembled before and after shipment. This type is normally cheaper as compared to the complex type.
The complex type of food transport carts are made up of an electrical system that can be used to heat food, cool food, and move the equipment from place to place. The carts have compartmented cells that can store many foods under different conditions. The cells have conditioning systems that either heat the food, cool it or keep it in its original state until it is served to the guests. This type of food cart is also equipped with wheels that are powered by an electric mortar and controlled by a remote system. They are much more expensive as compared to the simple type.
The two types of food transport carts can be used interchangeably depending on the task at hand. The simple type can be used to move food directly from the kitchen to the serving table without preserving it. The complex type on the other hand can be used to keep food preserved, heat or cool it before it is served to the guests. Its capabilities make it much more reliable to use than the simple type. The buyer can make a few considerations before settling on a specific type.
