Heat is an important parameter to mould the custom moulded foam. If you need to mold something you will have to apply heat. When the heat is applied there will be an increase in the energy of the atoms of the foam. The foam will get soft at the point, where you are applying the heat. When the heat is applied, the foam gets soft, this is the step where you will have to change the foam into the shape that you will need. There are some precautions regarding the custom moulded foam that we have to take. If the foam is heated and is in the process of moulding, but it gets cold then the process of moulding has to be stopped.
If there is a block of the foam and we need to make a custom shape of the foam, then we will have to compress it to the specific shape. This method is used for the foam that will be degenerated due to heat. The foam is pressed in a dye and punch. The dye will hold the foam and the punch will press the foam. This will result in a shape formation in the foam and custom moulded foam is easily made by this method.
There is a method in which we will have to carve the foam. There is carving machine which has round granite at the top end. The grantee will move at really high speed. The high speed will lead to the energy generation. The generated energy will cut a very fine line on the foam and this will result in carving of the foam. The machine can be used to make many types of foams. The carving of foam is not done now. Most important of these techniques is the heating. It is a really good method for making the custom moulded foam.
Die cutting foams
To make a custom moulded foam, we need to make a die and the foam is to be pressed in that so that the part of the foam which we do not want to cut it out. The cut portion will act like the groove where the product can be kept. This is really reliable method, but this cannot be considered as the moulding. This is because in moulding we mold the already present piece of foam and we do not cut it away.
