Loose fill
This is really a different type of foam packaging. One is the loose fill packaging. This is a unique type of packaging which will involve the small foam partials that are like the peanuts or the popcorns. These foam pieces are added in the box where the product is present. They are added in really large amount. They are added as they will have to be pressed to close the box. Some are added to the bottom and then the product is placed on it. After placing the product on it, foam pellets are put above the product and the box is closed.
Foam sheets
This is a technique in which the sheet of the foam is made and the product is wrapped inside the foam. The number of sheets used for the packaging can be different. When there is less delicate product is to be packed, fewer sheets are used. When there is need for packing the more delicate products, more sheets are used.
Corrugated foam pads
This is a typical example of moulded foam packaging. The foams are moulded into the pads and the pads are used in the packaging process. There are foam pads which are moulded in pieces. The pieces are placed on all four corners of the product. The product is then added to the box. Moulded foam packaging is one of the most useful techniques as this is used by many of the multinational companies for packaging the products. This way can be used to make the products travel to the long and rough distances.
Inflated sheets combined with foams
When the product is more delicate and one method is not enough, the combination of the methods is used. The inflated sheets are used with the moulded foam packaging. First, there is need to wrap the product with the inflated sheets. The inflated sheets will protect the product from small and minor shocks. This is important for the electronic devices. The electronic devices are to be packed with the inflated sheets first because these are prone to the small shock damage. Once these are protected from the small shocks, there is need of the protection from the large shocks. The large shocks are relieved by the moulded foam packaging. This packaging is done after the first inflated sheet packaging is complete. This will give complete protection to the products from the small as well as the large shocks.
