How are wires formed? Wires are created by placing the metal in a hole or a draw plate. Wire bender comes in different forms. Among the many forms include stranded, solid core and the braided forms. Usually wires are circular in its cross section. However, it can still be made into hexagonal, rectangular, square or into other cross sections. Such cross section depends on its use. They are made to be rectangular or hexagonal if they were to be used for decorative purposes. There are also special flattened wires usually used as coils in loudspeakers in order to generate high efficiency voice or sounds.
Wires have a couple of uses. Electrical wires are obviously used to deliver power across homes in a geographical location. The electrical wire is made up of copper conductors which is individually coated with thermoplastics, grounding wire and a plastic jacket which is flexible and which binds the cores altogether. There are several quality and safety measures that the electrical wire must meet and thus, the components used in making it are of very high quality. Below is a list of where specifically you can use wires.
- Gardening. Pieces of electrical wires which are purely made of copper conductors and have a high quality of plastic coating are of great use to gardeners. The wires can be used in attaching plants and saplings. It can also be used during fence repairs. Copper does not easily corrode which make scrap pieces of wires very useful. They can also be purchased at such very cheap prices and come often as free.
- Jewelry. Jewelry is designed to be worn and to be in constant contact with the skin. It is for this reason that jewelers use copper because it does not corrode and produces no allergic reactions to people wearing it. Copper wire which is considered of “Jewelry grade” is commonly used these days and is quite expensive. Electrical wires are malleable and at the same time flexible but still maintain their original shapes which make them very useful as an alternative to the common materials used in jewelry.
- Speaker. There are specific speaker wires that can be very expensive because of its high quality of copper braiding. Electrical wires however are much cheaper and offer the same benefits and uses as expensive speaker wires though they are not as flexible. Thus, many customers are now buying electrical wires in lieu of expensive speaker wires.
