Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration is the type of filter element that uses one membrane which removes harmful viruses and contaminants from substances. It uses a 0.02-micron sticky membrane that traps large particles on its surface. With these capabilities, ultrafiltration elements introduce fresh water and dissolved minerals.

Nano Filtration

Nanofiltration uses a membrane that can resist enormous pressure. It has a 0.001-micron pore size that removes viruses and organic matter. In addition, nanofiltration can remove water-hardening divalent ions, making them critical for hard-to-soft water conversion.

Micro-Filtration

Microfiltration is similar to ultrafiltration and nanofiltration filter elements but has a 0.1-10-micron pore size that removes algae, bacteria, pathogens, clay, sand, and coarse metals and particles from water.
Microfiltration membranes have the highest porosity among membrane filtration and are often used in tandem with ultrafiltration and nanofiltration.

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse osmosis filters have extremely small 0.0001-micron pore sizes that purify water by removing all organic molecules and viruses. Unfortunately, reverse osmosis' small pore size removes all the water's minerals. It also desalinates water and any other form of monovalent ions.

Bag Filters

Bag filter water treatment uses special beverage preparation filters that aid brewing and other water processes. It uses two bag filters inside a bag filter housing to remove suspended solids from water. The large bag filter pore size can remove any silt and dirt from the water due to processing.

Cartridge Filters

Cartridge tube filters purify liquids and other substances by passing through them and trapping unwanted particles and pollutants inside them. Pharmaceutical and chemical engineering companies use cartridge filters as an integral part of their technical process.

5 Best Practices for Elevator Interior Design

Elevator interiors impress your clients and give your employees a great, thought-encouraging transition area. However, elevator interiors can wear out and age over time. If you’re planning to replace your elevator interiors, here are five best practices for excellent elevator interior updates.

The General Aesthetic
Consult with your marketing and brand management team about the possible, brand-expressive aesthetics you can apply to your elevator. They can provide you with the colors, symbolism, and functionality your windows might need. Additionally, consider a sample employee population’s opinion on its aesthetics and overall ambiance.

Common Elevator Passenger Problems
The sample employee population can give insight on elevator issues they commonly encounter. For example, smudges, bright lighting, and rattling sounds are valid concerns the next elevator interior update must address. Outsourcing opinions from your sample employee population can give you ideas on where to direct the elevator interior’s update.

Easily-Disinfecting Surfaces
With the world’s ongoing health crisis, the limited elevator space is one of the biggest disease hotspots worldwide. Elevator interiors should have minimal carpeting, more solid spaces, and enough ventilation. Reducing possible mold and mildew growth, improving its aesthetic, and achieving a modern look.

AC and Ventilation Dependency
HVACs are handy for cooling down passengers, but it consumes too much electricity. Consider having elevator manufacturers design a ventilation-dependent elevator to save energy. Engineers and elevator manufacturers can use various breeze and ventilation-maximizing designs to take advantage of the elevator’s interiors.

The Fabricating Company You’ll Work With
Lastly, work only with highly-reliable elevator interior manufacturers. Their decades of experience and knowledge ensure only the best results for your elevator update needs.
Demtra Sheet Metal Industries specializes in elevator updates, machining, grinding, and creating movie sets. With our experience and knowledge, we are sure to deliver the results your elevator interior update and other projects might need. Contact our talented team today.

5 Cutting Edge Police Vehicle Technologies Today

Police fleet vehicle upgrades usually include police lights updates, radio circuit checks, and mounting improvements. These five futuristic law enforcement technologies will soon be available to law enforcement in the near future. Check out each of them below.

Voice-Activated Technologies
Situational awareness is an important ability of any police officer. Voice technologies improve reaction time, free up their hands for other crucial activities, and give them essential operation data. Voice-controlled computer queries allow police officers to drive or proceed with their operation on foot without compromising physical and mental resources.

Low-Profile Computers
Previously, many mounted police computers and communication tech took up much vehicle space. The future will likely introduce low-profile computers that can swivel and swing to their current position. These computers will reduce road view obstructions and give officers much more comfort in their vehicles.

Pre-Recorded Announcements
Thanks to pre-recorded statements and announcements, officers won't have to manually turn on their PA systems and free up their resources during operations. In addition, the advanced PA technologies will likely use frequency-sensitive technologies allowing them to penetrate walls and achieve a 360-degree full audio coverage.

Advanced Face Recognition and Biometrics Technology
Facial recognition is still fiercely debated for police force use, but fleets will inevitably use this technology. Auto-scanners will scan public faces to track a potential suspect lost in a crowd. Additionally, biometrics technology makes it easy to detect fingerprints, palm prints, wrist veins, iris recognition, and gait analysis on the road.

Throwable Robots
Police forces can use advanced "robots" that are throwable cameras and remote-controlled, small engine-powered machines that can explore narrow spaces and remain hidden while obtaining surveillance data. These tools can help many delicate special operations and gather evidence through 24/7 patrolling robot monitoring systems.
For now, Darta Fleet Solutions can provide you with excellent fleet upgrades for lights, radios, mounts, and beyond. Contact us to get started on your fleet's latest update today.
