Gear motor won’t spin
This is usually caused by a damaged motor. It can also be due to electronic connections from the panel to the motor. The usual problem is the inability of the motor to fully rotate, thus signifying the system not to start spinning.
The drive belt is the main link from the motor to the rest of the machine. A broken one may also be the cause of this problem. If the machine uses a motor control board, it can also prevent the motor from spinning.
A damaged rotor and stator may also cause your unit not to spin. Have the stator windings and rotor magnets checked for any breakage. The main drive motor may also not be functioning well. See if the motor is spinning, hanging or does not run at all.
Machine makes loud noises
A loud noise that is not normal during operation can be the first sign that something is wrong with your gear motor. A worn motor may be the main cause of this problem. Defective shock absorbers, drive motors, drain pumps, or a faulty inlet valve may also be the source of loud noises.
