Both for industrial and commercial applications, wire mesh reinforcement is one of the most commonly used materials. It is more popularly called as welded wire mesh or an intertwined wire that form a barrier. The biggest factor that dictates how the welded wire is able to cope with a powerful impact is its mesh reinforcement. Moreover, the specific process of welding is what determines which type of welded wire mesh is the best for a particular construction purpose and which one can be used most effectively. Here are the various classifications of various types of welded wire mesh based on their material construction.

#1. Welded stainless steel

This type of wire mesh is obviously made from welded stainless steel with a uniform steel barrier at the intersections. It is very easy to use and is highly reliable, the reason why a lot of industries are using this for plenty of applications. Barbed wire fencing is the most common application of this mesh.

#2. PVC welded mesh

In order to protect this welded wire mesh from the effects of corrosion, this mesh is coated by powder coatings on its surface. Coating it not just protects the interior metal part of the mesh but also gives it more interesting visual appeal.

#3. Galvanized mesh

Instead of powder coating, zinc is used to coat the surface of the wire mesh through galvanization. This is done through two major processes such as hot dipped and electro process. It is also to protect the surface of the mesh and make it more durable and resistant against harsh elements.

In terms of its uses, welded wire mesh is not only popular for fencing but also as a material for screen doors, wire cloth, and concrete reinforcement. This is why it becomes so useful in the construction industry as well as in other industrial and commercial applications.
